Visit by Rev. Emmanuel Ariel in 2010
In 2008 on recommendation of Knox Guelph Session, the Presbytery supported the visit of the Rev. Emmanuel Ariel of the Bhil Field in India to our Presbytery as a missionary-in-residence.  However, the visit scheduled for May of 2008 had to be postponed because his visa was issued too late to allow his scheduled visit to Canada.
We have every reason to believe that because he was finally issued the visa in 2008 that a visa will be issued now without any problem.
If by early April there are open dates then we will provide the opportunity for congregations/presbyterials, etc. close to us to invite him to be with them. Please contact Wilma Welsh for information.

"Frontrunners" - March 2, 2010
Join us as we watch the film "Frontrunners" and for the shared discussion that follows.
I was one of the people from the Presbytery who was sent to Orillia for the Equipping Ambassadors for Reconciliation conference, November 19 to 21, 2009. Would you please share with people in your congregation, through bulletin announcement/poster on the bulletin board, the opportunity on Tuesday, March 2nd, 7:15 to 8:45 PM to come to Calvin Church, 248 Westmount Road East, Kitchener, and see a film called "Frontrunners" and then share in discussion. Click here to view the poster (pdf)
It is one way that we can get ready to be part of the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in the coming few years. One of the things we learned in Orillia is that as Presbyterians, we are part of this work for reconciliation. Our church helped run Residential Schools, and we are part of the settlement process that has led to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
If it is better for any church to borrow the DVD, and set up their own time to see it and have a discussion, please let me know. There is a study guide available on the PCC web site. I am glad for conversation or for questions. For more information, call (519) 744-4061 or email Mark Gedcke
